South Jakarta's Highland is known also with it's beautiful green garden which has been developed into various industrial estates such as tourism area in Kemang, Residential Area such as Kuningan, and various super markets and business centers for the local and international products. Jakarta Selatan is managed by the municpality of Jakarta Selatan Kota Government, a level of adiministration under the level of Province. The development of infrastructure of Jakarta Selatan is the fastest among 5 municipallities within the Greater Jakarta city. North Jakarta has the most interesting places to visit such as Ancol Recreation park, and the old Jakarta city of Sunda Kelapa Port. Since the location of the icty is directly facing the Java sea, the level of the land is very low which is the same level and the sea. During rainy season the area especially along the area of the Ciliwung river and other lower land full with water or sometimes big flooding swept some villages. The drainages constructed by the government of Jakarta could not cope with the volume of the water from the hill such as Bogor area.

Rangunan Zoological Garden
The location of the zoo is at Jakarta Selatan or South Jakarta municipality. For local people this is the most popular choice for recreation in Jakarta during week end and public holidays, especially school children will use this place as the destination of holiday and education. Basically the zoo can be said it is an ideal family and school recreation place in Jakarta.

Rangungan Zoo Park is set up on 130 hectares with great number os tress for shading, fresh air, and wide swimming pool. The collection of animal reaches hundred species including endangered species. Visitors facilities are available such as tran, carts, animal attractions such as elephant and onix rides, circus, accrobatic animals, and others. In accordance with the definition of International Council of Museum, that zoo parks are part of a museum which function is as recreation and education. This mission of museum as part of the museum objective has been able to give cheap recreation compared to many places such as Ancol Recreation Park, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and others.

As the place which has been able to give cheap recreation place, Rangunan Zoo Park still need various up grading and development. The regulation to visitors against the animals or the maximum interaction must be guided even strongly ruled out to maintains the safety of both visitours and animals. The guide in the form of sings and descriptions although short to each of the object, furthermore the real conditon of the animal itself need serious attention. Secondly seen from the visitors facility it is needed futher anticipation on the comfortability of visitors and the area. For example when suddently rain falls, then where visitours get the shelter? Regulation to visitours in opeing their place to relax, it is serious matter. If every visitor can open a mat and assemble on any place, it will make the other visitours feel uncomfortable, even blocking their way or views. This is the main reason that visitors will not stand longer visiting the zoo.

Thirs is the creativity of park manager. This is the most important, and well awared that good or bad organization is largely depend on who is the top management or the brain of organization. In normal economic situation where there is no terrorists, it is believed that a zoo such as Rangunan will be able to give wealthy to it's staff and people at the surrounding of the zoo, and giving satisfaction to the visitors. It is needed a real effort from the management to see every chance to pick up the ideas and values of their properties and present it to the public. Small publication or public relationing totally needed such as printing small brochure to be distributed to the public. In case this is budget concern, the management can work with hundreds of websites that promoting sightseeing tours on the net. In the opinion of the writer, they will be more then happy to publish the area if enough materials are provided for them including pictures and the description of the environment, especially those relating to the traveling related services. We all praying to the god that Indonesia will be free from acts of terrorists which is the main source of the countries bangkuftcy, and the lost of spirits of people of Indonesia and abroad in seeing Indonesia as the land of blessing.
